LA THÉIÈRE
"La Théière" is a character in Maurice Ravel's magic opera. In a collaboration with the Lucerne School of Music, our course created all the costumes for the production.
The aim of this costume was to translate the libretto into the appearance of the teapot. To do this, I worked cotton cloths until they were stiff and ceramic-like. The aesthetic interplay with the teacup, which was designed by Jodie Schulthess, was important.
