UTOPIA
Utopia is a design proposal for a competition entry at Kramis Teppich Design AG. Inspired by the paintings of MC Escher, my intention was to create an utopian garden.
Handtuft Carpet Design

I was drawn to the blue carpet in the KRAMIS showroom like a magnet. I wanted to touch it, to explore it and lose myself in the blue. With my design "Utopia", this suction effect should begin from the very first step into the building - whoever enters the room stands in an adaptation, embarks on a journey of discovery through depths, structures and harmonious colors. The richly nuanced world of colors is built around the strong gentian blue, the beige-black bouclé in the showroom and the brown-red cables on the ceiling. This creates a connection to the room. The guest is playfully guided from the entrance area to the production area - from what is possible to what he or she imagines for their own world. As Kramis correctly noted in their critique, actually standing on the carpet reveals a different view of the design, which is why it is difficult to test whether the desired effect is actually created.
